Ashgabat, 10 April 2019 – a workshop on Strategic Planning System was organized in Paytagt business centre with participation of the project senior expert Ms. Jurgita Siugzdiniene.
The workshop was conducted by the EU funded Project “Support for Public Administration Capacity Building in Turkmenistan” in cooperation with the Academy of Civil Service under the President of Turkmenistan and other stakeholders, within the framework of the workshops aimed at development and implementation of Master’s Degree Program in Public Administration.
In the workshop Ms. Jurgita Siugzdiniene presented Strategic planning system and the case in Lithuania. The presentation comprised the strategic planning related issues such as its importance, preparation process, key initiatives for education, smart economy, smart society, lessons learned, main directions of implementation, the strategic management system, the system of planning for science and education, cascading down the priorities, strategic planning and budget cycle, budget negotiations – process etc…
Thanking Ms. Jurgita Siugzdiniene for the interesting presentation the project coordinator Mr. Babahan Berdiyev noted: “Strategic planning allows to plan the future in several generations ahead” and he emphasized that one the main aims of the Academy of Civil Service under the President of Turkmenistan is to make its listeners strategic thinking professionals who will further make contribution to efficient implementation of the national strategic development plan and creation of the best competitive country. In general, the workshop provided useful and comprehensive ideas for development of the module on strategic planning for the future Master’s Degree Program in Public Administration in Turkmenistan.
