Ashkhabad, Hall of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan, 21 – 25 May 2018
The EU Project Further Enhancement of Public Funds Management Reform III (PFM III), in partnership with the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan (MoFE), conducted a training seminar on Public Financial Control in Turkmenistan.
The objective of the seminar was to: familiarize participants with the requirements of the revised Budget Code of Turkmenistan regarding the organization and conduct of external and internal state control in accordance with general and procedural standards; to understand and discuss types and kinds of public financial control (PFC), their similarities, features and differences; to get acquainted with the new approach to mid-term and annual planning of control activities; as well as with the requirements for quality assurance in carrying out different types and kinds of PFC.
The seminar was opened by the representative of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan – Head of the Consolidated Department of Public Finance and Economic Policy, Mrs. Romanova, on Monday May 21st, 2018 and ran until Friday 25th of May, 2018. Positive feedback was received from all participants of the seminar who attended from the Supreme Control Chamber and the Ministry of Finance and Economy.
The seminar programme was conducted by Mrs. Ekaterina Paknehad, an experienced Public Financial Management expert, with more than 16 years in the field of public sector audit.
