On 14-15 and 18-19 September 2018, series of trainings of trainers were organized by the EU funded project “Support for Public Administration Capacity Building in Turkmenistan” in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan with the participation of the teaching staff of the Academy of Civil Service under the President of Turkmenistan, The Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly, Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, International University of Humanities and Development and representatives of the EU Delegation to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The purpose of this training of trainers workshop was to build and strengthen the capacity of the participants and their respective institutions, as well as to give new trainers the background knowledge, skills and practical experience in the area of delivering effective trainings.
The event was organized as a continuation of a series of the trainings of trainers course started in June, 2018 for each training programme/module to provide the trainers with both substance related knowledge and modern training methodologies.
The event was opened by the Team Leader of the project Mr. Folkert Milch, who welcomed the participants, explained the purpose of this round of ToT and wished the participants successful work.
Mr. Klemen Belhar, the international short-term expert and experienced trainer, started with the introduction phase, engaging the participants into a comprehensive learning process that builds the knowledge and skills required to conduct effective trainings.
During two days, participants were actively involved into working group sessions and plenary discussions. They were familiarized with various effective training methods, in particular, icebreakers, energizers, brainstorming, world café, SMART, Bloom’s Taxonomy etc.
With a strong focus on different learning styles, models and design, as well as on new training, evaluation, moderation, visualization techniques, participants gained valuable feedback from the experienced facilitator and trainer, which will be sustained further in their teaching practices.
At the end, all the trainees received Certificates of Participation.
